The Grit

PrivacyPolicy

Effective Date July 27, 2026 / Last Updated July 27, 2026

The GRIT ("The GRIT," "we," "us," or "our") is a podcast and website produced by Espindola Management Group. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit espindolaassociatesmg.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We built this show around honest conversation. We take the same approach here: plain language, no buried terms.

01Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Newsletter signup ("Get A Grit"): first name and email address.
  • Guest submission form ("Be A Guest"): first name, last name, email address, title or organization, and the story or message you choose to share with us.
  • Direct correspondence: any information you include when you email us or contact us through social media.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect standard technical information, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, and time spent on the site.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect payment information through this website. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 years of age.

02A Note About Guest Submissions

The "Be A Guest" form invites you to share personal experiences, which may include information about health, hardship, loss, employment, or other sensitive topics.

Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. Submitting a story does not obligate us to use it, and it does not make you a guest on the show — appearing on The GRIT requires a separate, signed guest agreement.

Please do not include private information about other identifiable people (medical details, legal matters, or similar) without their knowledge and consent.

Grace Espindola reviews submissions personally. We treat them as confidential and do not publish, quote, or share submitted stories publicly without your express written permission.

03How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Send the "Get A Grit" newsletter and episode announcements you signed up for
  • Review guest submissions and follow up with you about a potential appearance
  • Respond to your questions and messages
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website
  • Understand general audience trends through aggregated analytics
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

04How We Share Information

We share information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the site and the show — website hosting, email marketing platform, form processing, and analytics providers. They may access your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal requirements. If required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfer. If the show or business is sold, merged, or transferred, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent. Any other sharing happens only with your permission.

05Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning and to understand how visitors use it.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies that collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the site that referred you. This information is aggregated and used to improve the Site and the show.

Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party marketing trackers on this Site.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the site may not function properly if you disable them.

Do Not Track: Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

06Email Communications

If you subscribe to "Get A Grit," you will receive our newsletter approximately twice a month. Every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can opt out at any time, and we will stop sending marketing emails promptly.

We may still contact you directly if you submitted a guest inquiry and we are responding to it.

07Third-Party Platforms

The GRIT is distributed on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, YouTube Music, Pocket Casts, and other platforms. We also link to social media accounts and to other websites operated by Espindola Management Group and its affiliated brands.

Those platforms have their own privacy policies and collect their own data about you. This Privacy Policy does not cover their practices, and we are not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any platform you use.

08Data Retention

We keep newsletter subscriber information until you unsubscribe, plus a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping.

We keep guest submissions for 24 months to allow for future episode planning, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.

We keep analytics data in aggregated form.

09Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
